Biography

PATJE takes his inspiration daily from images in his mind. Influenced by the growth of singer songwriters from all kinds of genre, he builds his own style from soul, funk and Brazilian rhythms.

He was raised between Marseille, Barcelona and Geneva. His very first experience in entertainment was theater thanks to his brother.

After his high school diploma he did his Bachelors in America to improve his language skills. At that time his friends gave him the nickname PATJE (little Pat).

Returning back to Europe, he worked in advertising and became the editor of a magazine. When he left this multinational firm and moved to Barcelona, Spain, in order to study at university, music and his love for entertainment came back into his life...

He decided to pursue this growing passion in Los Angeles. He discovered facets of himself and started growing and gathering popularity in this environment.

In 2002 he started playing with his band in many clubs around Los Angeles and released his first single. On stage he started singing in French, English and Spanish.

He began a new journey with his friend Ioannis; with him he played between Bora Bora and Paris. It was with Ioannis that he was the opening act for Jeanne Mas. This show took place at the Trianon in Paris.

2008 enabled him to prepare a new project. Today he is launching Pasaporte, his new album; available Autumn 2009.

El condor passa – robelas. music set 01. covers by paulhallart.

El condor passa - robelas. music set 01. covers by paulhallart.

Cover of famous song by Daniel Robelas by me on Peruvian Pipes and harmonica. Incan native miner cries out to the condor to take him back home to the Peruvian mountains at Machu Pikchu way up in the mighty Andes Mountains to escape the tyranny of the first-world exploiters but if it were up to me we could just send all the exploiters home and imprison them in squalid huts atop their garbage mountains. Daniel, a singer/songwriter from South America tried unsuccessfully to contribute to the folk songs in the USA, but had some success back in South America. The play for which the song was written, was about an oppressive mine owner who gets murdered and is simply replaced by another oppressor. The condor I see is in the not-too-distant future when the entire planet gets melted and finally it’s junk on the surface and in space gets recycled. The condor circle: what goes around comes around. It is not the condor which is only what humans see high above; it is the invisible natural world of the real universe from which the visible condor and all else emerges that is the vital factor. What men see in the condor is that it shows up after one has passed away. I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (www.youtube.com…

Stac - balls bounce (bonobo remix)

Following on from her infectious and highly acclaimed debut, sublimely soulful vocalist Stac returns with a host of remixes from a selection of producers all at the top of their game. This is the first of two remix projects (the second to be released in February 2011) featuring a stellar line up who’ve been queuing up to add their stamp to Stac’s trademark vocals. On Volume One of “The Remixes” you’ll find producers de jour, Blue Daisy and Greymatter, along side more established names such as Natural Self and TM Juke, as well as newcomers Elias Linn and Royce Wood Junior, and many more. Look out for producers including Nu:tone, Kidkanevil and DJ IQ in Part 2! We love Stac — and we’re not the only ones… “Sounds Like a young Minnie Ripperton” Mark Ronson “An accomplished debut album. Stac’s intricate songwriting makes ‘Turn That Light Out’ an intriguing listen.” Barclaycard Mercury Prize Recommends “That lady is tasty!” Alice Russell credits released 29 November 2010 To support the artist buy the album here: stac.bandcamp.com www.wahwah45s.com http www.facebook.com…

Fantasia amore - corey spetifore

Here is a new video from me, except this time it is one of my original compositions! I wrote everything in the piece, starting with a theme that I came up with a couple weeks ago. Two days ago, I was playing around with that same theme and decided to expand on it a little more. I added a stronger bass line reminiscent of the ‘hemiola’ pattern used so often in South American music, some vigourous flamenco and tambore, and a more sweet and romantic section to break up the piece just enough before coming back to the theme again. The end result was Fantasia Amore! I hope you enjoy my composition!…
