Biography

PATJE takes his inspiration daily from images in his mind. Influenced by the growth of singer songwriters from all kinds of genre, he builds his own style from soul, funk and Brazilian rhythms.

He was raised between Marseille, Barcelona and Geneva. His very first experience in entertainment was theater thanks to his brother.

After his high school diploma he did his Bachelors in America to improve his language skills. At that time his friends gave him the nickname PATJE (little Pat).

Returning back to Europe, he worked in advertising and became the editor of a magazine. When he left this multinational firm and moved to Barcelona, Spain, in order to study at university, music and his love for entertainment came back into his life...

He decided to pursue this growing passion in Los Angeles. He discovered facets of himself and started growing and gathering popularity in this environment.

In 2002 he started playing with his band in many clubs around Los Angeles and released his first single. On stage he started singing in French, English and Spanish.

He began a new journey with his friend Ioannis; with him he played between Bora Bora and Paris. It was with Ioannis that he was the opening act for Jeanne Mas. This show took place at the Trianon in Paris.

2008 enabled him to prepare a new project. Today he is launching Pasaporte, his new album; available Autumn 2009.

Peruvian music - peruanische musik

Peruvian dances from the North of Peru. The Peruvian tondero El Borrachito is played here by one of the best Peruvian music groups ever: Los Troveros Criollos (Lucho Garland, Pepe Ladd & Humberto Pejovés). The tondero is one of the most popular Peruvian dances and was born in the north coast. The oldest known version is from the Morropón Province in Piura. The dance expresses three themes, all inspired from the same emotion: the errant life of birds, cockfighting very common among Peruvians (Peruvian roosters are the largest and most aggressive) and lastly, the falling in love; between birds or between the macho stallion that battles to get the acceptance of the female, she flirts and doesn’t let him conquer her until the end (Wikipedia). The beautiful Lucía Hidalgo and Luis Peñaranda, from the Music Institute Todas las Sangres, dance this Tondero to the music of Los Troveros Criollos. El tondero El Borrachito was composed by Salomón Díaz and recorded by Los Troveros Criollos back in 1957.

Inkari music of the andes vol. 2 track 8

This is a CD by a band called Inkari. It took me forever to find it again – we lost it in one of our moves. This in my opinion is the best Peruvian music out there and I wanted it to be accessible to everyone. I contacted their old manager and he said that the band went back to Peru a few years ago and he hasn’t heard from them since. It is extremely difficult to find, I searched all over the internet to find it and couldn’t. I actually got this music again because a fiend of ours was given the CD and let me copy it. So anyway, here it is and I hope you enjoy! :) I don’t own any rights to this audio track, just the right to love it :)

Himno al sol - peruvian music serie. kinsa trio (bass clarinet, cello, piano)

Mi pa?ina web: mazzini.clariperu.org ___________________________________ Original music by Peruvian composer/musicologist Daniel Alomía Robles (Huánuco 1871 – Lima 1942). As in the case of “El Condor Pasa”, this piece is part of a larger work: “Himno al Sol” (Hymn to the Sun) is a fragment of the first act of the opera “illa Cori”, which exist only as a soloists, choir and piano version. I hope you enjoy this arrangement for cello, bass clarinet and piano. ________________________________________ In this video, Kinsa Trio is: Aygul Pribylovskaya, cello Marco Antonio Mazzini, clarinet&bass clarinet Ward De Vleeschhouwer, piano ________________________________________ Visit on the Internet: www.warddevleeschhouwer.com www.clariperu.org…
