El Marabino by Antonio Lauro and revised by Alirio Diaz. Played by me, Samantha Muir. This is a beautiful, (but quite tricky to play!), Venezuelan Waltz. El Marabino is the name given to someone who comes from the city of Maracaibo. It is a jolly piece to brighten up the winter! The sheet music is published by Caroni Music. It is included in Works for Guitar, Volume 2 C.2002, Great Composers Latin America – Venezuela, Antonio Lauro. The photos are by my friend Josie Elias. The opening flowers are a composite of the wildflowers taken on one short walk in the countryside near Javea, Spain.
